OCP MINE OPERATION BENCHMARK STUDY (RELIABILITY & MAINTENANCE SCOPE)

Executed OCP Mine Operations Benchmarking Study to provide recommendations to increase production capacity and reduce operating costs by 30%. The Reliability & Maintenance (R&M) scope of the study included operation practices and performance executed in the areas of reliability and maintenance for these Khouribga’s mining activities: Extraction, Beneficiation, and Slurry Transport.

GOLDCORP INC. OPERATIONAL READINESS PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT

Developed an Operational Readiness Practice Manual for the Century Gold Project to achieve autonomous Reliability & Maintenance Management. This practice defines the Operational Readiness processes and activities that must be executed and delivered on during the Conceptual, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility, Detail Engineering, Construction, Turnover & Closeout stages of a project to enable the operations team to be ready at startup.

COMPAÑÍA CONTRACTUAL MINERA CANDELARIA (CCMC) PRODUCTION-AVAILABILITY MODELLING

Developed a quantitative Production-Availability Model of the Candelaria Concentrator to aid their effort to increase production by 10%. This concentrator consisted of the following process train: Primary Crushing, SAG Mill, Pebble Crushing, Rougher Flotation, Regrinding Cyclones, Scavenger Flotation, Concentrate Thickening, and Tailings Thickening.

PINTO VALLEY COPPER MINE RELIABILITY/ PRODUCTION MODELLING

Developed the production/ reliability model for the processing train: Power Supply, Primary Crushing, Fine Crushing, Grinding, Flotation, Copper Concentrate Thickening, Filter Plant, Tailings Thickening, and Tailings/ Mill/ Service Water Supply. Utilized model for assessing the critical equipment component list, developing effective equipment and sparing strategies, choosing appropriate maintenance task, predicting future production levels under current and modified conditions, and developing critical spares list. Also developed lubrication management improvement plan.

IRACORE INTERNATIONAL LIFE CYCLE COST (LCC) ANALYSIS APPLICATION

Developed an application to evaluate the life cycle costs for the material design options (Iracore pipe vs. carbon steel, chromium carbide overlay (CCO), stainless, or white iron) used in these oil sands applications, which transport coarse oil sands slurries: hydrotransport lines, regular tailings, and underflow lines from primary separators, which separate the oil sands feed into froth, middlings, and coarse tailings.

MA'ADEN SAUDI ARABIAN MINING COMPANY OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE READINESS REQUIREMENTS (PFS)

Executed the following developments associated with PAP, SAP, OSBL & Water Treatment, Granulation ISBL, and Beneficiation facilities for Ma’aden Phosphate 3 Phase 1 PFS Integration Packag: Operations Readiness Goals and Approach; Operational Readiness Plan; Operational Readiness Budget for Stage 3 and 4; Operations & Maintenance Readiness Execution Strategy; Asset Register; Recruitment Program; Training Program; Information Systems; Operations & Maintenance Technical Documentation; “Operations Readiness” Risks; Operability, Maintainability and Reliability Design Reviews; Operations & Maintenance Philosophy & Strategy.

SUNCOR ENERGY THIN FINE TAILINGS (TFT) LINES EROSION ANALYSIS

Determined the following for the carbon steel lines transporting Thin Fine Tailings (TFT) during the EDS Phase of the Tailings Reduction Operation (TRO) Project: deterioration rates and life expectancy, locations along the lines most at risk to excessive deterioration, and deterioration profile for the lines. The analysis involved utilization of Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) to assess erosion rates in straight run pipes and short and long radius bends.

SYNCRUDE CANADA INC. MATURE FINE TAILINGS SUPPLY (MFTS) PIPELINES EROSION ANALYSIS

SHELL ALBIAN SANDS MUSKEG RIVER AND JACK PINE MINE EQUIPMENT HIERARCHY DEVELOPMENT PHASE I, II & III

Developed an asset hierarchy database for 90,000 assets within both the Muskeg River Mine (MRM) and the Jack Pine Mine (JPM).

SHELL ALBIAN SANDS MUSKEG RIVER AND JACK PINE MINE TAG ID PROJECT

Project involved verifying in the field many of the Muskeg River Mine (MRM) & Jack Pine Mine (JPM) tags (and provide manufacturer, model number, serial number, and horsepower) to ensure that the maintenance procedures/ job plans specify the correct part number for both exercising equipment warranties and purchasing additional parts.

SHELL ALBIAN SANDS TAILINGS & INFRASTRUCTURE FLAWLESS PROJECT DELIVERY ASSURANCE

Ensured requirements are met for Flawless Project Delivery of the following projects as per Shell’s Capital Project Operations Readiness – Project Standard 14: Muskeg River Mine (MRM) CSL Extension, Centrifuge Plant, CST Line Twinning, Sand Cell 2, and Power Supply.

SYNCRUDE CANADA INC. CAPACITY ANALYSIS REVIEW OF MATURE FINE TAILINGS (MFT) AND GYPSUM SUPPLY SYSTEM

Executed a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) Analysis for different equipment configuration and technologies of the Mature Fine Tailings (MFT) and the Gypsum Supply systems to assess the production capacity and other performance measurements of the Consolidated Tailings Production in Early Stage 2/ Selection.

SHELL ALBIAN JPM TAILINGS CENTRIFUGE TRIAL PLANT PROJECT RAM STUDY

Executed a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) Analysis to assess the Availability of two equipment configuration options (Options A & B) of the JPM Centrifuge Trial Plant in Phase 2A.

SUNCOR ENERGY TAILINGS RECOVERY OPERATION (TRO) PROJECT RAM STUDY

SUNCOR ENERGY WASTE WATER TREATMENT (WWT) PLANT MAINTENANCE & RELIABILITY PHILOSOPHY

Executed a Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) Analysis in the DBM and EDS project phases to confirm that the WWTP design can achieve the Availability objectives given the process configuration and equipment design capacities, equipment reliability and maintainability, sparing philosophy, maintenance plan, and reliability strategies.
